Aix-en-Provence - As the historical capital of the region and the home-town of Victor Hugo and Paul Cézanne, Aix has a myriad of world-class museums, galleries and historical sights to explore. The city centre consists of classically provençal cobblestone streets, beautiful paved plazas, and numerous fountains for which the town is famous. Visit Cézanne’s atelier, peruse the exquisite artisanal boutiques and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the city markets which run multiple times per week.

Luberon - Luberon is a national park of approximately 600 square kilometres rich in biological diversity with beautiful flora and fauna. Within it you may find a number of idyllic villages and towns as well as picturesque hiking trails. The setting of Peter Mayle’s famous book, ‘A Year in Provence’, some believe Luberon to be the heart of the Provençal region!

Marseille - Marseille is the southern capital of France and is known for having the biggest port in the country. Situated on the Mediterranean, Marseille was founded by Greek sailors in 600 BC making it the oldest city in modern-day France. As a result of its long and rich cultural history Marseille is home to some outstanding pieces of architecture, such as the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde, a must-see for visitors of the city! Explore the Vieux Port (Old Port), take a boat trip to the spectacular Island Château D’If and try the city’s famous cuisine (such as the bouillabaisse) to fully appreciate this spectacular city.

Avignon - Between the years 1309 and 1377, Avignon was the seat of the papacy and is thus home to The Palais des Papes, the largest Gothic palace in the world. The palace as well as the fortification walls surrounding the center of the city are historically fascinating places for you to visit. For those less interested in history Avignon has plenty of other attractions and activities to offer such as sampling some of the local wines from the surrounding Cotes du Rhone region.

Camargues - The Camargue is western Europe's largest river delta, just an hour outside of Ventabren. The lakes and marshlands are home to a vast variety of fauna and flora. Among them there are great flamingo, buffalo and wild white horses. Enjoy this area by hiking or cycling across the Rhone Delta or riding horseback along one of the sandy beaches.

La Barben - La Barben is a medieval fortress dating back to approximately the 11th century, just 30 minutes from Ptit Chateau by car. We recommend that you visit this fascinating historical sight to see the splendid fortress with its medieval underground and period decorations and furnishings inside. The guides wearing costumes from the various eras will take you on a tour of the castle, and brochures in English and other languages are available to the visitors.
